Yeah, but I’m a little sad about Gowron’s arc. I liked the character, and I thought his reaction to Martok and ending was… not honorable. The writers did him dirty. Just IMHO.
Honestly, I felt that the writers also underserved Worf a bit as well. In TNG, he was (or at least, eventually grew into) a consummate professional. In DS9, it seemed like they took this earned sense of professionalism away from him and turned him into a stereotypical Klingon rage machine who was always on the brink of losing control.
Speaking of Worf: I remember seeing Micheal Dorn himself promoting a show he was supposedly filming at the time that was focused on Worf. It was being made right alongside Picard, and I don’t know whatever happened to it since Picard came out and this Worf series never came to be.

DS9 was a lot of good, some really spectacular great (Garak, the character & the arc!), and some really lousy.
