The largest share of Republican anger, 38 percent, came in October 2013, almost a year after Barack Obama had been reelected and as congressional Republicans forced a federal government shutdown that ended with no concessions for their side.

This is of course quite telling!

    From Wikipedia:

According to a Washington Post/ ABC News poll conducted shortly after the shutdown, 81% of Americans disapproved of the shutdown, 86% felt it had damaged the United States’ image in the world, and 53% held Republicans in Congress accountable for the shutdown.

And yet only 38% of republicans disapproved.

Thank god that 38% gets more voting power than everyone else, right? What could go wrong?
