I would think rudimentary scissors came from shears to cut wool or hair.
In order to get practical paper, youd need the process of cutting wood to a T, which likely would have created scissors before hand if cutting has evolved to that point already.

Yeah I’ve had to switch instance actually - I was on a small one before and was having issues seeing my posts from other instances. Teething issues I suppose. Still, enjoying the general good vibes and camaraderie around here anyway. Makes one feel much more inclined to post and participate, rather than just lurk and feel sad doomscrolling.
Totally agree. Yeah, I’ve deleted a couple of posts recently to try to avoid duplicates after they didn’t federate right. I’m chalking it up to growing pains.
