You forget the delays and cancellations
I use the public transit (now with my Deutschland Ticket!) for all my transit including work commuting. The serious delays or cancelations are rare. I’m always on time and seldomly put out by any construction or other delays.
I suppose when you take your car there is never any traffic or road construction and you always find parking immediately!
