I’ve had a fun few days designing this in OpenSCAD. My elementary and high school trigonometry is definitely coming back to me!
Neat. So bummed they dc’d the mini. Im so bored with big phones.
Are you sharing the stl / 3mf anywhere? Might take a shot at scaling it to an iPhone 15 size.
I’ll upload it to Printables when I have time. Currently you can download it from Mega: https://mega.nz/file/vRkXSJhI#dJ2bjRQWx-h4XFCGkpWygDGgGP0em6fN5GgVSOJh-U0
Does this have enough angle to turn on standby mode? I printed a different stand as soon as I upgraded but it wasn’t steep enough
What’s standby mode? Is that the thing where the clock or whatever shows up? If so, yes, that’s precisely why the friend I printed it for wanted it printed.
Link?
None yet, haven’t had time to upload it to Printables. For now you can download the latest iteration from here: https://mega.nz/file/vRkXSJhI#dJ2bjRQWx-h4XFCGkpWygDGgGP0em6fN5GgVSOJh-U0
Which wireless charging pad is that?
I have no idea, it’s some no name brand. I can send the dimensions if it’s any help.
Yes please.
My wife has a Belkin wireless charging pad that looks similar.
If not Belkin it still could be the same size if it’s a rebrand.
- Diameter: 55.9mm
- Depth: 5.7mm
Edit: Here you can find a configurable OpenSCAD file which has the diameter and other stuff like that configurable. Note that it’s not perfect and various corrections might be necessary (I got kinda bored with it) to make it work.
Thanks for providing the dimensions. The one my wife has is larger than that.
You can easily adjust the dimensions using OpenSCAD customizer and the file I’ve provided, changing the diameter of the charger hole is really easy.
