There’s no removed comments. I looked through my profile cause like sometimes I just be saying shit so I was okay maybe. But I can’t find any comments on that community. Just the old 196.
Idk if this is where to post this but I just wanted to rant. It’s my first time ever being banned so it felt ouch.
I’ve cleaned up the comment threads on this post and unlocked it again. Please try to stick to the specific post topic, rather than regurgitating old grievances.
!196@lemmy.world probably did the biggest power tripping move since the creation of Lemmy with their failed attempt at migrating from blahaj to LW without asking the community first.
I wouldn’t spend too much time investigating this, !onehundredninetysix@lemmy.blahaj.zone is a much better community
Holy shit! 10,000 users!?
Yes. Shows how much of the failure the migration attempt is.
OG shit posters aint gonna be living under lemmy.world censorship!
Blaze why do you hate that community so much? You commit so much time to tearing them down.
Blaze hates .world with a passion.
Oh yes, that’s why I’m the one keeping alive
Also, if the LW community team could avoid mower tripping to try to xintimidate" me when I post elsewhere than LW or whatever that was: https://lemmy.world/post/24489154
They also admitted that they consider Federation to be a “divorce feature” and that the best experience is centralized
Federation is a feature like divorce is a feature. It’s extremely important that it exists and is accessible. Not everybody needs to do it. Other servers are a fine option if you know what you’re doing and are willing to deal with more issues OR if there’s a compelling reason (such as the various regional servers).

I respect the sysadmins work, but some people in the LW community should really reassess their stance towards centralization and other instances.

hahaha gottem XD

When you have a long history of starting shit with .world, your actions will increasingly be interpreted in a negative light - including when you don’t mean them to be negative.

Considering you are constantly picking fights with the comm team over the pettiest shit (and I don’t mean to give them a pass, considering they engage on said petty shit with equal vigor), gonna press X to doubt.

Is documenting power trips starting shit now?
No.
pj hates blahaj.zone with a passion.
Disillusioned with, I’d say.
It’s not hate, it’s just not enjoying when a mod team decides to lock a community and force the members to move to another instance without even asking them first.
And the numbers speak for themselves: https://lemmyverse.net/communities?query=196&order=active_month
So what about all the people who were banned from blahaj back in december for dissent?
What 196 are they supposed to use?
Literally the biggest poster on 196 was banned and was forced to move over to .world despite them saying they are ok with Neopronouns. And everyone just called them a TERF instead of listening to them.
From my perspective that is not really an inclusive community concerned with protecting LGBTQ people, it’s blatant suppression of dissent.
Most people who were banned for “Gatekeeping” then and since then were really just banned because the admins didn’t like them despite them dispite not breaking rules.
You keep posting numbers, but you then ignore the dedicated base for the world community that is not going away.
So what about all the people who were banned from blahaj back in december for dissent?
No one was banned for dissent. People were banned for gatekeeping, misgendering and repeatedly and/or deliberately misgendering folk.
Most people who were banned for “Gatekeeping” then and since then were really just banned because the admins didn’t like them despite them dispite not breaking rules.
The rule is don’t misgender and gatekeep other folks and block or ignore them if you can’t deal with their identity or pronouns. The modlog is right there. If you can find a single instance of someone getting banned without breaking that or another rule, I want to know about it
So nobody was banned for dissent, but you will unban people who were banned for Gatekeeping because they weren’t actually Gatekeeping?
So if they weren’t banned for dissent or Gatekeeping, what was the reason?
I let them know, but this is really inconsistent policy
The only people who were banned were gatekeeping other folks identities. If you find an example of someone that was banned who didn’t do that, I will unban them.
If you find that inconsistent or confusing, I’m not sure what to tell you…
the biggest poster on 196 was banned for saying “i respect neopronouns BUT your policy of not allowing harassment for neopronouns isn’t for me and so i am preemptively leaving” while screaming stuff about how dragons aren’t real instead of just blocking and reporting offensive users as the mods explicitly asked.
to clarify. it’s a bit worse than you express. :)
Wait, that was it?
nope, clarified some other details in an edit thanks for holding me accountable

You seem to know a lot about the whole story for a 20 days old account.
Literally the biggest poster on 196 was banned and was forced to move over to .world
- Who was that?
- If that happened indeed as you describe it, how is this supposed to justify moving the whole community without the members asking first?
dedicated base for the world community
The two people who posted there in the last 24 hours?
So what about all the people who were banned from blahaj back in december for dissent?
What 196 are they supposed to use?
They should open a thread here documenting Why their ban was a power trip.
Two possible outcomes
- Ada was power tripping and unbans them
- Their bans were deserved
If there was already such a post, feel free to link to it, sorry if I don’t remember, it’s been a while to be honest
db0 and unruffled were pretty clear they didn’t want any more LBZ posting back when those threads were common. i’d instead recommend just apologizing and doing a ban appeal to Ada. she’s actually a very nice person :)

I have to uae burners because I don’t want my main account banned from blahaj from them lurking here
I’ve talked with them and why they post there every day deapite the other communities existing, and that’s what they said.
From what I can tell that whole community is there because of the christmas ban wave, most of them are trans people who said they never gatekept and respect Neopronouns.
They also said you specifically lurk these threads and resort to personal attacks against people who crtique blahaj, like pointing at account age instead of engaging in good faith with the people who got banned from blahaj admin abuse.
You still haven’t told me who was that main poster who was banned.
Not sure who is the one not engaging in good faith in this conversation.
After asking if I could share they said they don’t want their main account getting banned from blahaj in retaliation.
I’m sorry
tbh this is a win. use !onehundredninetysix@lemmy.blahaj.zone or !196@pawb.social instead.
history post that explains why the .world community isn’t worth worrying about: https://lemmy.cafe/post/12094663
Until they run into the same issue with the blahaj admins.
Tbh weather you use 196.world or onenindysix.blahaj is a matter of which community wronged you first
I can’t even find a post that OP made on 196.world , so they shouldn’t be banned without posting there.
@moss@lemmy.blahaj.zone want to chime in at all?
If the .world mods are banning people for dissent on other communities like the blahaj admins do then that makes them no better.
Until they run into the same issue with the blahaj admins.
Oh please, I haven’t found someone who was actioned by the blahaj admins that weren’t bellyaching over being banned for queerphobia. As much as some people complain, it’s not actually a real problem, these people aren’t wanted in 196 communities.
Edit: after looking over your modog and history, You deserve those bans 100%
Turns out when janitors don’t like you they pick a random reason and hit ban.
Blahaj is a hive mind, it isn’t an inclusive place. And the ones who don’t agree get banned
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I am so far out of Blahaj’s demographic it’s mind blowing - but still I understand that when I interact with Blahaj I have to respect the rules of the house. That’s just how federation works. Obey the house rules or don’t visit. I might not agree with Ada about every single thing, and that’s not a problem, but if I decide to visit Ada’s yard I’m not gonna disrespect her there.
this is such a crazy take
Yeah, that’s often the case with many of the people banned from blahaj for hate-speech, gatekeeping, or thinly veiled transphobia. They’d try and have people believe blahaj is an evil cult, and not that they were being assholes, which is what most of them were doing. A short peruse of their history and modlogs often shows it very clearly and the person you replied to is no exception.
Quite frankly, I don’t even understand why some people are so upset about potential trolls abusing neopronouns. Like, who cares? If I suspect someone is a troll, I will choose to block them or just not interact with them.
Obvious trolls are probably blocked on blahaj.zone regardless. I’m fairly certain if I were to put “(jpavhovwhovsjbjpwvoj/bjevhpvwiyvhosvp)” in my name as pronouns I’d be banned rather quickly.
Neopronouns are strange to me as well but who am I to judge? It doesn’t affect me and there are more important things to be outraged about in this world. Like people typing in all lower caps.
yep this is based and level headed thank you
nope. there was no “issue” with the blahaj admins that any significant percent of 196 members cared about. there were only an outspoken minority of members who just wanted to do gender based harassment without repercussions. of which you are included.
Look to me like it must have been a mistake because I don’t see any trolling, so on that basis I’d call it a CLM in this case. If it was intentional, then PTB.
It was intentional I checked to see which mod it was and they’ve done it before in the past. There was a post here a while back where that mod was banning random people.
I’ve messaged the mod to ask for them to clarify the ban reason. I guess we’ll see if there’s any response.
I doubt they will, they went inactive a while back and other mods haven’t been able to reach them. Maybe they will respond though, I hope so, I’m not holding my breath though.
Oh well if they have scarpered then problem solved I guess.
Idk what those letters mean but okay, I could see it being a mistake
It’s in the sidebar.
- РТВ - Power-Tripping Bastard: The commenter agrees with you this was a PTB mod.
- YDI - You Deserved It: The commenter thinks you deserved that mod action.
- BPR - Bait-Provoked Reaction: That mod probably overreacted in charged situation, or due to being baited.
- CLM - Clueless mod: The mod probably just doesn’t understand how their software works.
Ahhh okay thanks
No problem. I struggled until I stumbled upon it there too.
Most likely PTB.
The ban seems to be a month old or so. The only activity from your account that I’ve seen there was this post, that seems completely
ruleOK. And the vague “trolling” message reinforces it.That’s not on .world tho
Fuck, you’re right - I derped.
Anyway, it’s still likely PTB. Power-tripping bastards love those vague ban messages.
PTB, they have a history of unfairly banning users in the past.
As evident by the modlogs and the previous post about them here:
