Rich people will tell you they get the value of money then spend the equivalent of a poor persons wages on a bottle of wine, concert ticket, or a seat at a football game.
Incidentally, that bottle and those tickets and that seat all see the price go back into the pockets of other rich people in the form of rents and dividends.
Your Taylor Swift ticket price isn’t going to the pockets of the stadium staff. Its barely going to Swift herself. The lion’s share simply goes to whomever has title to the stadium, built with public money and traded away at a loss to friends of the politicians that commissioned it.
Hadn’t thought it that far through but yeah. That’s true. Then they’ll call the wages paid “competitive”.
