A while back they had a German ad with a closet filled with blåhaj

Yeah they might be onto something ;-)

“Ihr habt BLÅHAJ zum Symbol gemacht. Wir schwimmen mit Stolz an eurer Seite. Danke, Trans Community!”
“You have made BLÅHAJ a symbol. We swim alongside you with pride. Thank you, Trans Community!”
Pride in Leipzig Germany, 2025
… How could they not? The blåhaj thing has been going on for years lol
you put å in a wrong place haha
Mb, not Swedish :(
apology not accepted, i expect you to show us your new citizenship within the year.
Two Blåhaj?! In this economy?!?
…what the fuck is a bedrule?
You just be new here
It’s bedroom, transformed to include the word “rule”, as is the style in this Community.
Why are there no trans flags in any of the ikea stores i went to
Are you in a red state?
Romania hates trans people and is a country so i think yes
That sharks are transgender?
I once asked what the shark is about. Their name is Blåhaj and the patron saint of the Blåhaj Zone Lemmy.
I’ve finally learned what blahaj represents. That’s awesome.
So, uh, what are the odds of two trans people sleeping together? I’m asking honestly. Seems a really unlikely combo.
Honestly, more common than you’d think. A lot of trans people feel safer and less judged with other trans people than cisgender people
That isn’t the reason. Nor is it because dating is ‘hard’ or any other BS you’ve been lied to about. Women don’t sleep together because uh… they feel safer together than being with men but because they’re gay/bi. That’s just an example of how politically manipulated/shaped you are.
T4T - Trans-for-trans - is very “popular” (if that’s the right word) within the trans community, and ties in somewhere within the spectrum of the gay sexuality. Any other fancy explanation is politically motivated.
uh, I’m trans and bi, so I think I know what I’m talking about lmaoooooo
Mercury Stardust (trans handy ma’m) is married to a NB person, iirc, although I’m not sure if they consider themselves trans.
Why is this shark a symbol, because of the same colors?
Yes. The doll has become a trans symbol.
I know that it is a trans symbol, but I couldn’t find out why. Is there an actual reason or was it just chosen randomly?
From what I can tell, bit of both. It started as a meme on Tumblr, gained popularity because it’s easily available worldwide (wherever there’s an Ikea), and became gay because Tumblr big gay. The colors nicely matching their
socks
::: made it more popular among a certain subset of the community, and now everyone agrees it’s a symbol of trans (support).
