I don’t know when I’ll be going back, but I will be going back.
Large pizza, 1L Pilsner, small lof of garlic bread, $13. Expensive relative to the local food, but let’s have a little fun.
Oh hey I just left Peru literally yesterday, hope you have a great time!
Nice, thanks! It’s a cool country, I’m really liking Cusco so far.
Looks legit.
It’s some good scarfing.
I added some uchucuta sauce, this local herbs and spicy pepper sauce for seasoning and it turned out exciting and sublime.
Looks delicious except for the whole tomato slices which I’ve experienced when laid on a pizza become soggy & difficult to chew because the skin becomes fibrous & stringy.
I never order tomato slices in pizza, I actually don’t recall them on the menu when I ordered this pizza, but these were very fresh and very thin slices, so they were pretty good, a bit of flavor without any distracting or incongruous textures.
Callao? found a Peruvian 😁
Just living in Cusco for a while, enjoying the hills and ruins and food. And the rain.
Is uchucuta specifically Peruvian? It’s definitely one of my favorite hot sauces now.
we used to just call it Rocoto Sauce, I guess Uchucuta is a variant now popular, I left the country 20 years ago
Cool, thanks! I’m hoping to get some stuffed rocoto peppers tomorrow!
You should complain about the bite someone took and tried to hide by putting the piece back.
Serious though, looks tasty
Haha, I embrace local customs.
Thanks, it was good, and they make their pizzas in a real woodburning pizza oven, so I have to try another soon.
Crime against basil :(
Basil complimented this pizza just right.
I agree. I thought the basil was baked looking at the picture, but I gave it another look and it seems I was wrong. Heck yeah fresh basil on pizza!
Oh I got ya, yeah it was good stuff!
