    They look like ordinary insects because insects already look alien. A truly alien-looking insect would be perfectly smooth or something else unseen on Earth.

      I didn’t want to say anything because I’m not a specialist on this matter. But yes, they look similar to normal insects.
      @ElBarto@lzrprt.sbs, did you use anything special in your prompt to try and make it look alien?

        Sorry, a quick follow up because I do love your idea.
        I was playing in midjourney and got this result with the prompt insect-like alien made from silica, hard edges, view slits, rough exterior

        Maybe the use of “insect-like alien”, might help?
