A deaf woman named Jennifer Winter is given a revolutionary implant to restore her hearing but it does not help her hear normal sounds. Instead she suffers nightmares, head pain and begins scribbling page after page of ones and zeros. Jennifer Winter (Marlee Matlin), deaf since birth, has had a revolutionary implant placed in her ear, tohelp her hear for the first time. The device doesn't help her to hear normal conversation and sounds, but she does hear something, and no one believes her...

I really enjoyed this episode. I feel like most TOL episodes are intended to fill you full of dread, however every handful you get an episode that is uplifting. This was one of those uplifting ones.

I also miss Marlee Matlin. I feel like she was everywhere in the 90s, and then just dropped off.
