It took some time to break the tie, but Guybrush won eventually!
Sam and Max.
Gratuitous acts of senseless violence are my forte!
Looks to me like we’ve got a marginally volatile hostage situation here, Max.
Oohh! Does this mean we get to kick some puffy, white mad scientist butt?
S&M is a great suggestion
Would Manny Calavera from Grim Fandango fit here?
I think so
That would be my pick if I didn’t vote for Leisure Suite Larry.
Ben from Full Throttle
I think Guybrush Threepwood would be a perfect fit for morally grey and loved by fans.
There’s no rule that he can’t be voted more than once
That’s kinda boring though.
I was just thinking this, considering he’ll happily bury people alive

Oh good. Those dogs were only sleeping after all.
Rufus from Deponia. He is very egocentric but with a huge heart at the same time. Not sure if this is too niche but a huge shoutout to deponia to all who loved sierra adventures back in the day.
Lemmings. They don little suicide vests at the click of a button, how much more morally gray do you get?
Larry; Larry Laffer!
Larry Laffer.
I wouldn’t say he is a bad guy per se, but I think it’s fair to say he is supposed to be a bit sleazy.
I think Larry is probably an “Opinions Divided” one
Ha! Honestly, that’s probably a better fit even if I personally disagree. :)
Excuse me, but Gabriel Knight is the perfect fit for this category.
Indiana Jones? Actually most scumm games have you do some pretty messed up stuff at some point in the game.
Is Mordin Solus from Mass Effect 2 morally gray or horrible?
The Purple Tentacle.
“Good person”
Wants to be a pirate
I’m sorry, what?
You can just say you’ve never played Monkey Island, it’s not a problem ;D
Luffy in One Piece also wants to be a pirate, but seems to have no idea what pirates actually do. In Monkey Island, the worst thing a pirate might do is insult you. They fight with wit; the swords are just for aesthetics.
If you haven’t played them, I highly recommend it. At least the originals. It’s like playing a 90s cartoon. Like all the Lucasarts classics.
Compared to the rest of the world at the Golden Age of Piracy, pirates were actually often on the better side.
Piracy is more of a legal definition than a moral one.
But always fight legalized piracy.
