      These are statistics, not “romanticising”. 80% of biodiversity is in Indigenous lands. This is true in every nation. The reason is that there’s a co-dependence between indigenous people and the lands they are on. If they destroy the lands they cannot survive. On colonised lands, the whole point is to exploit them. Take everything and peace out. That’s what colonisers do, it’s a job role.
