I feel like this is the 60’s and 70’s all over again. Americans mocking cars made in an Asian country that was formerly known for cheap goods.

Then Americans mock the vehicles coming out of that country. Then that country rapidly eats up a vehicle segment that the US used to dominate.

Americans mock everything. Unfortunately there’s soo much brainwashing and propaganda. It’s hard to not feel sorry for them. School system let’s them down, news is political and there’s a constant fight between science and religion.

Most dont leave the country and experience anything else.

Americans are largely stupid when it comes to this type of thing. BYD makes 50% of all iPads sold and 1/5 of the world’s batteries. Oh it’s Chinese so it must be bad. That ship sailed decades ago and now they’re at the forefront of manufacturing. I’d trust a BYD vehicle over a Ford/Chevy/GMC any day. And especially Tesla since they’re know for poor fit and finish.

Mock them if you will, but China has figured out affordable battery manufacturing. And cheap BYD and Volvo branded cars are coming to eat western manufacturer’s lunches.
