Boris Johnson got paid £160,000 to play tennis with an ex Russian politician’s wife and that’s all hunky dory but heaven forbid you sell your house that you bought.
I think she puts it best in that article. The problem isn’t helping people to own their own house, its that the stock of social housing isn’t being replaced.
You can dislike this woman and this iteration of ‘new labour’ for many legitimate reasons, but this isn’t one of them.
