I wonder what caused angels to be portrayed as beautiful humans with feathered wings, if this is the ‘accurate’ version. Maybe there was a different passage that had a more charitable description of angels, and companies figured they could sell more figurines of goddess-looking bird women at CVS than…uh…whatever these look like.
