It’s really interesting to see what it was like in The Castro during this period in time. I thought others would like to see it too.
When I was in my 20s I watched this documentary on The Castro which really hit me hard at the time. It’s pretty fascinating to see how the gay community was and how it is there. It’s also kind of sad to see all the people who survived the AIDs epidemic, and multiple tech waves only to leave as a result of the covid pandemic.
It feels like we’ve lost a lot of our culture. But hopefully things will start moving in the other direction.
