Thank you for the in-depth answer.

If you like this sort of thing, and enjoy watching YouTube videos, I humbly recommend “Marty’s Matchbox Makeovers”.

Yup. Not defending AI but it will definitely be used as a shitty excuse for shitty decisions. It’s the new “well, it’s corporate policy” veneer.

Weirdly it’s Monday. Monday through Wednesday is often the slowest part of the week for me.
AKA “luncheon meat”. Pre-packaged thin slices of various meats (ham, turkey, chicken, bologna, etc). Usually with too much salt and preservatives.
It’s similar to sliced meat from the deli (“deli meat”) but not as good. Both are mass-produced, but the pre-packaged stuff is more processed and not as “fresh”.
(I’m probably going to regret trying to answer a food question in good faith on lemmy. Sigh.)

I hate living here. Wish I had Canadian ancestors.
That “associate” thing has been around for decades, and varies by region. In the US it was mostly used for retail employees back in the day, not as much as corporate workers. But it goes in and out of style. When an employer adopts it or drops it, it’s probably because some executive is trying to make a “splash”.

Staff meetings where employees must justify themselves to out-of-touch bosses.

I really hope their general incompetence and some legal challenges make this take longer than this batshit crazy asshole has left in office. But I’m not optimistic. It’s astonishing how fast this administration can move when they ignore laws and have evil intentions. Which is pretty much all the time.
They are inconsistent. Sometimes they do whiff it.
I know it’s basic bitch, but I still like Otterbox.

I watched the whole thing live this morning because 1. Jack Smith is a hero and 2. apparently I hate myself.
It was worth it when Eric Schmitt embarrassed himself, though. Hilarious watching him detonate his stupid VP ambitions with his made up bullshit in real time.

Just tossing this out there as a possible option. Hikers often use rain covers for their backpacks and things. They do a better job of waterproofing, and you don’t have to compromise on a backpack or bag that you really like.

Wasn’t a lot of pieces, but it was enough to keep me entertained. Very few speciality pieces helped.

America is racing backwards at Mach 3.

I had kit 6861, the X1 Patrol Craft as a kid. Loved it, played with it a lot. We got very few LEGO in my family so it was treasured. My cousins were rich and had tons of them. Fortunately they let us play with theirs when we’d visit.

Sounds a bit like Roy Underhill.

I’ll check him out. I watch Steve Ramsey and a few others.
Practical use? None I can think of. But I love learning this. Thank you.
