4·3 hours agoThey needed to hire a great PR firm before anything else. They shouldn’t have to, but that is not the reality in this country…especially in a red state.
Meanwhile, those all white neighborhoods are A-OK.

4·17 hours agoYeah, they replaced a bunch of mine at first. Its why I went through multiple iterations of text replacement over a couple of years. If they want to replace the text with the original, they’d have to a) notice that the text of the response.doesn’t match the comment it’s responding to, b) have to go back some random number between 5 to 8 iterations.

17·20 hours agoI did that during the great exodus. Actually, I replaced all my comments with random book quotes six times over the course of two years before finally deleting them. So, if you ever have a question about obscure data lifecycle management techniques, cybersecurity, Destiny, data center power optimization, etc., and the chatbot replies with an excerpt of Jane Eyre or an nutritional breakdown of a tablespoon of almond oil, it took it from a backup of my old reddit account.
I have been working since 1997 and I had many jobs before I started my own company. Never have I ever gone through an interview process where I got the job after a single interview.
I’m in that group where caffeine is calming (often makes me sleepy) and I never have physical withdrawl if I skip a couple of days. My cousin on the other hand is physically addicted to the caffeine. I have seen how it affects him if he doesn’t get any.
Personally, if caffeine affected me that way, I’d never touch the stuff ever again and I’d look for other solutions and coping mechanisms.

I really enjoy the lore and artwork of Warhammer 40,000. I can do so without devoting my existence and actions to the will of the omnissiah.
Just think. We are four dimensional consciousness with the ability to project a small part of our will into this third dimension. We put ourselves here, likely countless times, simultaneously, across space and time. Our four dimensional consciousness is too vast for a three dimensional existence so we are left to wonder without the capacity to process our larger truth.

11·1 day agoI genuinely thought this was a joke headline. Count Binface sounds like Sesame Street character that teaches children not to litter. Hilarious.
EDIT: I see the complaints in the article but I think the silly candidates show and promote a healthy involvement in politics by the population.

Trans@lemmy.blahaj.zone•Am I being rude for asking to not be called "bro"?English
24·2 days agoI am a gen-x cis male who has been skateboarding and surfing since the early 1980’s. The words “bro” and “dude” are completely genderless to me. I call my female friends and my wife “dude” all the time (bro less so as that might be a generational divide there). That said, if you, or anybody for that matter, told me that the term is harmful to them, I would makr every effort to avoid using it with them. I might slip up from time to time due to muscle memory, but if I did, I would apologize.
This is, at the very least, common courtesy. Your roommate is in the wrong and you are not being rude.

Wyoming today has a libertarian “leave me the fuck alone” type of conservatism. The push is to turn it into a christo-fascist conservative state like Idaho.
