This game is brutal but man do I love it. There are so many RNG factors that can make or break your run. But when you go God mode boy is it satisfying. Dunkorslam YouTube videos are your best friend to learn how to get your first win.

I am watching these with you. Both were phenomenal. What should be next on the watch list? I heard Hellbender, Hellhouse LLC, Deadstream, The Dark and the wicked, and Anything for Jackson are awesome.
First time I played Myst in 93, that was mind blowing. I didn’t see that level of graphics for a long time after that.
Also a friend let me play Half-life Alyx when it first released and it seemed to be a monumental shift in what gaming would become…… it wasn’t or hasn’t yet, but it blew my mind at the time.
They do, it’s a monetary value. 200,000 dead Palestinians = Lockheed Martin line go up.
I think there is a big piece missing if we want to make lasting change. Protests should be the first part and we have missed many opportunities by skipping the second part. Challenging the legality of the issues in court. The MLK jr. movements were so powerful because they changed the laws. In many cases they “got arrested” on purpose and then challenged the legality of the issues in court with some amazing well armed lawyering. The protests, though important, should only be to stir up public opinion and momentum, followed by a timely well thought out and public challenge to the laws we wish to change. That’s where to orgs should be focusing their energy to capitalize on these fleeting moments.
I don’t work in the industry and I could be way off here. But aren’t some of the developers hired on as a type of contract worker to finish a big game and well aware that if the next project isn’t lined up perfectly, it’s impossible to house that many employees. That’s how our construction industry is. Companies have to hire on and then trim the fat as needed.
Didn’t get good before pics.
I finished a landscape project in the front yard.
Can’t believe no one has mentioned it already but the book that got me into reading was “Enders game” by Orson Scott Card. Fairly short and has a split set of follow up books that branch off in 2 directions in you want more.
Doom Scroll - Immoral Compass
Mr Gnome - The day you flew away
Jonathan Wilson - Eat the worm
Viagra Boys - Cave world
Wet leg - Wet leg
Chet Faker - Hotel surrender
Igorrr - spirituality and distortion
Amigo the Devil- yours until the war is over
Out of orbit - OOO
I could go on.
Kimono Drag Queens are such a good band. Criminally underrated rated.
I was at around 55 hrs during endgame, which was finishing the main story line after doing most of the side quests. I think I had 1 main base with 10 - 20 buildings and equipment. I was playing on a series S. I am boggled you didn’t have many crashes, I’ve seen hundreds of reports of similar issues when I was trying to figure out what was going on.
Endgame was brutal. It was a 50/50 chance if you paused to save while moving it would crash.
What chides me the most is the underlying origin of the Republican Party, the very much needed fiscal conservatism, is now missing. It’s been traded for saboteurs rigging things to fail so they can gut chunks of government.
The jerk chicken from 3 dives in Negril, Jamaica. It might be influenced by set and setting with a gorgeous sunset and being extra hungry after getting all extra loose at Rick’s cafe but it’s one of the most memorable meals I’ve ever had. That or the earl gray brined double pork chop at Perry’s in Puyallup, Wa. Or my own recipe for “bacon beer cheese soup poured over ripped up Dill rye toast.” Or …… I better stop here
+1 for huckleberries. Especially plucked off the bush in the middle of a PNW alpine hike.
Fedor Emelianenko always looked frumpy compared to everyone he fought. That was the last thing most people thought before they woke up from hard reboot anyway.
My honest review, I had fun with it. It’s best described as an ocean of content but only 1” deep. The ship building was really the only unique thing in this game and it was really well done I thought. Beyond that it was the usual Bethesda mess that I expected. So I wasn’t totally put off by the jenk. Except for the late game crashes…. In the end game on the series S, I would crash ~ 40% of the time I paused to save if I was in action. Really frustrating.
Drakan: Ancient Gates was my inspiration. Their magic casting blew my mind back in the day and I never understood why no one else has utilized that system. I will have to check out Arx Fatalis.
