It’s a grift. They literally squatted a bunch of .si domains then sold them at a premium after the announcement and misspelled executive order… So I guess a little of column A, a little of column B.

101·19 days agoI feel like I’m going fucking crazy, like this didn’t happen already. He turns the entire American public against him, they vote him out so overwhelmingly that even their election fraud and foreign interference and owning all media outlets can’t save him, and then the entire country gets fucking amnesia and swallows the propaganda hook line and sinker, rinse and repeat.
It’d be like Yesterday except you’d have license to invent basically all forms of popular music.
It’s not everyone in the country! Just hundreds of thousands living in swing states in counties that don’t actually exist.

92·24 days agoI can’t believe nobody said Star Trek. In the 70s you had reruns of the original series and the animated series short run. TMP didn’t come around until the end of the decade. I wasn’t there, but I imagine a 70s trekky would be damn grateful to have all the Trek we have today and they’d probably even love Academy (All the older not chronically online fans I know rave about it).
Edit: regardless of your personal opinion on nu trek, the answer fits the question. A trek fan from the 70s would be blown away by having 13 series and 14 movies available to watch on demand, plus books, games, etc.

6·1 month agoActually it does seem to. Police won’t even ‘investigate’ if your car wasn’t locked. Growing up I was always told it’s better to leave it unlocked so you don’t have to replace a door or window over some spare change. Turns out the breaking into a locked vehicle is the only part of the crime that law enforcement cares about. Now I always lock my vehicles because taking things from an unlocked car is apparently not a crime. Anyway, not defending the analogy, just expanding on it.
