I heard someone mention “Tangled” earlier today too which might be new? Unsure. Seems to be an attempt at a federated version control platform.

I think it has more to do with them being adaptations of web novels. I can only assume that at some point there was a meta that evolved around naming web novels something wordy and specific to either stand out from the crowd, let readers know what the series was about, or both.
Disclaimer: I don’t read web novels, could be way off.

Everyone loves Bazzite, and they’re probably all right, but it did not run very well on my old gaming laptop.
Since people often mention Linux (in general) as being a good OS for older hardware, I thought this anecdote might be a helpful perspective to some.
I tried two or three other distros on that laptop, and they all ran fine as expected. I assume Bazzite has some higher system requirements to power its cool features.

I appreciate the deep dive, but like, I think I’m just a fundamentally different kind of computer user than this person who has an automatic warning on their website telling me to disable all javascript by default.
I’m not saying they’re wrong, just… more invested in security than I am, among other things probably.

Yeah, when I tried basic Ubuntu about a year ago, it must not have liked something about my two monitors or Nvidia GPU.
The whole desktop was shitting itself, and at one point I could see my mouse on one monitor but the clicks were taking place on the other monitor. It’s a nightmare to debug things when you can’t accurately click any windows or buttons.
Endeavor and Pop both worked out of the box.

I do this as well. Works great for both serving me the most interesting content and limiting how much time I spend on Lemmy.
