There are some efforts for LLM use for disabled people, such as GoblinTools. And you’re very right about disabled people benefitting from LLMs being a happy use case accident. With that being the reality, it’s frustrating how so many people who blindfully defend AI use disabled people as a shield against ethical concerns. Tech companies themselves like to use us to make themselves look good; see the “disability dongle” concept as a prime example.
As an autistic who struggles with communication and organizing thoughts, LLMs have been helping me process emotions and articulating things. Not perfectly in the way that you’d describe (hence i mostly don’t use LLM outputs themselves as replies), but my situation is much better than pre-November 2022
(East) Asians are the most accepted race aside from white people. Not that racism against them doesn’t exist, but it seems that white people naturally gravitate towards them compared to other races
Good point, their policies are rather complex. Or maybe I got it mixed up with FictionPress (both have similar colors)
AO3 has a section for original fiction
If the content includes the Disney Vault that’d be very cool
I live in a country that has experienced the hottest recorded weather while neighboring countries are literally experiencing heat stroke deaths. I don’t live in those countries, but fortunately where I live there are organizations that are focusing on incremental steps to change. And I mean incremental because change doesn’t happen overnight. How is it in your area? Do you have any local organizations that can help mitigate or further prevent the effects the climate crisis, no matter how small?
The AI hype (talk to your toaster!) will blow over, useful AI will remain and improve, this is just a hurdle along the way.
I hope so. AI spam causing too much internet noise to the point where we can’t tell which one’s true or not would be one big hurdle.
What about more social games like Fortnite or Roblox?
Do you have any access to any professionals such as a therapist or social worker? You can ask for a more personalized advice from them. It’s hard to tell you how to cope with loneliness without knowing the specifics.
Why do you feel that you are eternally lonely? How old are you? What do you do for a living? Do you have any health issues that are preventing you from leaving the house?
Have you considered the possibility that the internet was redesigned to pull your attraction towards many fronts that you get too distracted on focusing on what matters in your immediate surroundings?
The article may have a point. The internet is full of doomsayers and people who just want to provoke others because of how the online space is now built to attract as much attention as possible. Meanwhile in the meatspace, I had a nice discussion with people and they are focused on the here and now.
Try connecting with academics. Just met an artist who’s a professor at a university and even though I’m not of the same educational level as her, we had a very nice chat.
I didn’t know that was a thing. I do know that many Indians talk about using WhatsApp though (similar to the Indonesians here)
Interestingly enough that game got improved with patches. Seems to be the norm with games these days
I know athletics tend to depend on body capabilities and training but I perceived the question to be which competition would be the “easiest” and I suppose I perceived “easy” to mean “don’t need that many rules and steps”. I find athletics to be one of the more simpler games out there. I apologize if I may have misinterpreted the question.
