They almost got me a couple of times. But I always check IMDB first.
Edit: just read the article, they aren’t getting rid of them just taking the ad money and giving them to the studios. How sad, thought they were actually doing something positive here.
I can understand the decision. What would the rule be that would warrant removing these videos? No fan made content? No deceptive videos? But they can be fun sometimes (Rick Roll comes to mind).
Demonetizing them means there will be way fewer of them being made, if any.

I guess they’ll stop making them if they can’t make money off them. Still sucks for people that want to make an honest to God parody trailer tho.
I fell for one too for a while, I forgot what movie it was but it had Will Smith in it.
Honestly, they should be able to be filtered out. They’re pointless.
