Hopefully now with less downvotes.

Oops. I made it in a hurry so I used Kamala instead of Harris. Just now noticed. Is it worth a reupload?

You need to vote for Kamala even if you are in a Blue State. It’s only Blue because your neighbors do all the work.

“Eh, the house is on fire but my neighbors have always called the fire department. I’ll just stand here and watch it burn.”

Also states change colors all the times, so voting there is similarly important. California for example voted Republican in 80s.

If you are in red state if you don’t vote it will never turn blue and in blue state of you don’t vote it can turn red.

The analogy doesn’t work. You wouldn’t be calling the fire department. You would be calling the people that will just freeze the house in time for 4 years and then ask you to call them again.

And not voting is going “This is stupid I don’t need to call them cause my neighbors will do so and so I should try and find another place to live” but not calling anyone and then go back to the house is stupid. Which is what most people do.

I would vote no matter what (assuming I am legally allowed to vote). You have lots of local elections and initiatives that are also on the ballot, plus what if depressed participation causes more “safe” blue states to swing in the wrong direction? Less margin means Trump will challenge the integrity of the election and try to declare he is the winner in more places.

Like he won’t do that anyway?

I’m the kind of person that doesn’t believe in democracy. Any sort of majority rule will inevitably lead to a charismatic leader convincing people to give up their voice. This of course isn’t solved by anarchic rule but at least anarchy will have less tools to be abused by archic meddling.

So you should vote for Harris, as she is not charismatic.

But seriously. What he won’t do anyway? Remember his presidency which weakened US and culminated in an attempt to overthrow the government.

His current biggest regret is that he didn’t replace all government officials with loyalists and they managed to stop him.

Now he knows his lesson and won’t do it again. This very well might be the last election that matter.

People think that it is impossible that US could turn into dictatorship. They didn’t pay attention in history, because this happened and it wasn’t just once.

For example Germany was a democracy before it was taken over by Nazis in 1933.

Trump will challenge the integrity of the election and try to declare he is the winner in more places.

That. He will do that. No matter what happens, unless he wins, he WILL do that. At this point the only question is who the military and rest of the state apparatus will follow. And I agree this may well be the last election. But that will be the case no matter who you vote for. How this will end is dependent on the military leaders not the civilians.

If he wins he (and his lackeys) will change law. Previously he was stopped, because the government still had competent people.

Schedule F which is part of project 2025 (and which he actually implemented right after losing election, but it was too late) would allow him to replace anyone in the government with loyalists.

This time he knows why he failed and will make sure he won’t again.

Do not ignore the election if you’re in blue state. Your vote absolutely counts towards the overall election.

The president isn’t the only one on the ticket either. There are also your state, county, and city elections on the ballot, as well as any law deciding yeah/nah votes.

Not voting, or throwing away your vote with someone random, only adds garbage to the end results.

I read everything else. That was the only thing I had a response to.

That’s why I didn’t respond to everything. I responded to the thing I had a response to.

    Preferred to the original.

But real thing should be. Vote, it won’t change much, but it’s a start. If you truly believe in change, you should be doing much more, but never let go of the right to vote.

I thought about making a post with that quote but decided against it. Feel free to make one yourself. This community is in need of someone else to contribute as well.
