🇺🇦 The “Tor” anti-aircraft missile complex is usually intended for hunting UAVs.
But on this beautiful day, the roles changed: the hunter became the prey.
One winged unmanned aerial vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine detected the Russian Thor, and another - winged kamikaze “switchblade 600” - destroyed it. With the joint efforts of the Defense Forces of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine, we are destroying the occupier.
Bring us more iron, dear occupiers, because the forces of the 14th separate regiment of the BpAK are always ready!🇺🇦

I’d be curious if that’s a confirmed kill or just knocked out of action. Looks like a solid hit, but I’m not sure if it nailed anything crucial. Makes me wonder about the switchblade 600 , as that did not look like the Javelin like explosion which I would expect from an anti-armor warhead, but maybe I was just expecting a secondary. I looked at some previous Javelin hit, and they were mixed in the armors explosions.
I’m assuming the target was the radar instead of the air defense missiles. Probably a good choice as removing the targeting ability negates the value of the missiles.
Tor is a TLAR system - meaning transport, launcher and radar all in one vehicle. Can be networked with other command vehicles and launchers but works as it is.
It’s deceiving because you can’t spot missiles or launch tubes, but Tor has vertically launching missiles contained in the turret – somewhat unusual in a land vehicle without an erector (Don’t!).
“hey *van, what should we do when tank explode?”
“Uh…stand around it and scratch our asses?”
This is not a tank, but an anti aircraft system design to shoot down drones, missiles and sometimes other aircraft. The Russians claim it to be the best in the world.
