Every Rose Has Its Thorn~ Stinging Rose Moth (Parasa indetermina) Caterpillar
Wow! My delight was over the moon yesterday as I found one of my favorite caterpillars at Blakeley! I’ve managed to find one or two of them for 7 out of the last 9 years, not having seen one in '21 or '22! They are very colorful slug moth caterpillars…and just like a rose bloom, they can be yellow, red, or a mix of hues!
