    Wait, do you think that the united states is less progressive than it was 10 years ago? How about 20 years ago? 30?

      I had someone tell me the other day that the US was more fascist in mid-2024 than in the 1920s.

      People often believe what confirms their pre-existing beliefs without regard for truth.

        Women got the right to vote in 1920, but it wasn’t until 1968 that minority women were allowed to vote, and 1990 when the Americans with disabilities act passed. Crazy to me how people can look past monumental changes like that.

          Don’t ask don’t tell ended in 2011. It started in 94, prior to that the military was actively hunting and discharging gay members.

          A highschool in Georgia had their first integrated prom in fucking 2013.
