What are the best outlets to read about the current events occurring in Europe and in the World.

    For news happening on the top levels of the EU:

    • Euractiv - independent media network with correspondents/branches in nearly all european countries
    • EU Observer - independent
    • politico.eu - co-owned by Politico US and Axel Springer, therefore I’d be a bit wary of them even though their articles usually are ok

    I’d say everything the German ÖRR (public service broadcasting) has to offer. Often they have a version in English. Don’t know if you can access the online content from outside of Germany though.

    For the french of course ARTE but they probably already know about that :-)

    I watch tldr news on nebula. I am aware that they get income from advertising on youtube so they aren’t fully independent. However, I find that they provide good quality news nonetheless. And they do get some revenue from nebula so I expect that they are not fully dependent on youtube
