You really want to entice, drop the ‘it’s easier to use now’ and add other apps like Sync and such. I xamechere cause of 2 things, Sync and old.lemmy.world site skin. Show them that.
I love Sync and use it daily, but it’s probably a bad time to recommend it to new users. Unless ljdawson miraculously returns after his longest ever absence (over a year I think?) the app will stop working once Lemmy 1.0 rolls out, which is slated to be soon.
I personally never liked the way Voyager looks, though I know it’s popular. Boost is solid but I can’t live without gestures at this point. Keeping an eye on Summit, though. It’s still lacking some features and customization options I’d like, but the dev seems very active, responsive and open to user requests so definitely worth tracking.

I’d recommend Summit, Voyager and Boost instead (even when the latter could break too if the dev doesn’t show up).
Heck, at this point Lemmy already delivers a better mobile experience because it actually supports 3rd party apps lol.

I started using lemmy originally because of old.lemmy. It literally felt like what reddit was 14 years ago. Very nostalgic.
