Blimey, keep it casual! Despite the doom and gloom we like to present it still ranks relatively high on things like the Human Freedom Index. It could always be better, of course, but the way people grumble about “things nowadays” you’d think we were still in the blitz!

NHS = free or subsidised treatment for most things so most people don’t have or need separate health insurance

Workers rights and unions are pretty strong in most industries so while disputes may drag out sometimes it’s better than going in one at a time.

Not so great. Recent changes heavily restrict the right to protest, for example.
