To support iOS and macOS devices, an Apple developer account is needed, which costs $100 USD per year. I believe that with the number of sponsorships we have received, iOS and macOS support is now a viable option (even taking into account how much kbin.earth costs to run).
Additionally, I do not have any Apple hardware and plan to use a VM to set up the app initially, so I’ll need to figure out how to utilize GitHub’s macOS runners to automate the process afterwards.
At some point, I will also need some people to help test the app (both iOS and macOS) using TestFlight before the official release.
If you would like iOS or macOS support, please +1 this GitHub issue (or comment here) so that I have a feel for how much interest there is.
Being an iOS user, I have no idea how the app looks or works, but I am looking to move from lemmy to piefed and need an app for that. So despite being a diehard Mlem user, I would likely switch to interstellar if it came to iOS.
You’re welcome to join the TestFlight if you’d like to try it out!
Several issues when trying to log in.

Using Bitwarden to fill login credentials, password field does not fill. I had to fill username then go back to BW and fill password.

Spoiler
- The following error when submitting login credentials. Yes the fields are blank in the screenshot. The same error happens filled or not, so I chose to screenshot without revealing my info.
Sorry, but that is because piefed.social has not enabled their API yet. The only PieFed instance that I know has enabled their API and will work is preferred.social.
I do admit we should have a better error message for that situation.

I believe auto fill with Bitwarden is already working on Android, so this might just be an Apple issue. I’ll try to look into it, though.

Thanks, I’ll look into that as well.
