I’m trading in mine next year when the new Honda HRV model comes out. I’m tired of having to put a steering wheel lock every time I leave the car and the anxiety of coming out to an empty parking space in the morning. I already had the software update installed but thieves won’t know that unless they notice the tiny sticker on the window that mentions it. So you end up with a broken window anyway. The steering wheel lock is more effective primarily as a visual deterrent.
What a colossal fuckup on the part of Kia/Hyundai. I’m in the market for a 3-row EV and have been keeping my eye on the Kia EV9. But now my wife is not keen on getting ANY car with either brand, just due to the increased attention and potential fuckery from troublemaker kids.
Not even that, they have had massive quality issues. It is a shame, they had a OK period where they were good values in the 2000s but the last several years have really seen issues.
