Yeah at 50+yo there aren’t gonna be a ton of places looking to grab him…I could totally see TK giving him a small retirement run tho, still some comedy but actual serious wrestling to go with it.
Rumours he could be one of the ‘former world champs’ making an appearance for an upcoming TNA show due to his history there but who knows.

I could easily see Truth slotting into a player/coach role in AEW. He has a wealth of experience he can pass on to younger talent, and seems well-respected enough that people would listen to him. And hey, stranger things have happened. Like Jeff Jarrett’s current run.

I don’t need him around in AEW for long, I know some people see the idea of Tony picking up another WWE cast off and just go ‘ugh’, but I keep thinking back to that IG live he did 3-4 years ago where he just broke the smile for a minute, went all serious and said he was sad he got saddled with the comedy shtick cause he felt he had so much more to give as a serious wrestler in the ring and if his body is still feeling like it I need him to get that shot, even if its a thank you midcard run with the TNT title for a few months or something.
Make him think its the world title and go around challenging the main eventers and show off, fuck it lol

Has there ever been a release of a wrestler that caused this much uproar? Does TKO not like money or something? Truth is the most golden of golden eggs, you can literally have him say and do just about anything and people will pop.
Just hurry up and give him that legends contract, he deserves that more than some of the others on legend contracts.

It makes no sense, I highly doubt creative had nothing for him, this is a man who made me pop for a Pokemon go advertisement, truth running around hunting Pokemon, walking into match’s and just being Truth lives rent free in my mind, hell when Pokemon go is referenced I think of him.
I’m like legit upset by this, like actually angry and sad about it, but seeing the overwhelming support for him is great tho.

This really sucks, but now I’m hoping we get a moody black and white video of Truth jumping over chain link fences and sneaking past dogs, while a voice over talks about how he’s breaking free and all the standard post WWE stuff. The video ends with Truth realizing he broke into a higher security wing of the prison and gets chased around Scooby Doo style.
