Much of what the House does wouldn’t be missed. But you can’t keep the government running or address emergencies without someone being in charge.

    No-one working means no taxes means no wages for govt employees including congress.

    If the host starves so does the parasite.

    Also a one month general strike would devastate Wall Street (the main method of admittedly corrupt payment to congress) for years.

    It’s fairly extreme but Secessio Plebis works.

      Lighting yourself on fire also gets a lot of attention, but nobody wants to live in a homeless camp to send a message to congress and wall street.
