Red Bull GmbH “does not wish to comment publicly on internal company or family decisions” and only says the following about the transaction between Yoovidhya and Fides: “Such a fiduciary solution is common in order to ensure long-term continuity in successful large companies.”
Motorsport-Total reports that likely this does not change the majority control and that the Yoovidhya family still holds the majority, just in a different structure.
Austrian media however do speculate on what is going on, since Red Bull is involved in other business areas in Austria – most notably, their TV station is currently changing managers too. CEO Oliver Mintzlaff disliked both Horner and the leaving TV manager – this might indicate Mintzlaff gaining more power within the company himself, with the shareholders finally trusting his judgement.
