Other social media platforms have a place for people to talk about cancer and support each other. Lemmy didn’t, so I made one.

My youngest child has Leukemia (B-cell accute lymphoblastic leukemia)

It’s fucking scary. I didn’t know where to talk about it, so here we are.

Hey. My sister was dx with ALL at not quite 2 years old. The chemo was awful, she threw up every day but they have meds now to help with that. They had said she might never have kids but she’s got 4 kids now at 35. There is hope, stay strong ❤️

Hey. I’m sorry to hear. I can’t imagine anything worse than having a child with cancer.

My wife was battling stage 4 thymoma the past 2 years. She had surgery about 1 year ago and they have been scanning her frequently since. So far she’s been clear.

My heart breaks for anyone having to go through this including the family. My life really changed when our journey began. And it’s hard to find a place to unpack everything.

I hope you’re doing okay and you have some sort of support system to help you and your family out.

Thank you for the kind words.

It’s a long road, this insidious disease. I truly hope your wife stays clear!

Feel free to post your journey, if you like. It may help people with new diagnosis.
