    Nearly half of all ICE’s sold in the past decade were turbocharged for better fuel efficiency and fuel savings. Pretty much every turbocharged car requires 91/93 octane “premium” fuel for optimum compression and performance (read: fuel savings, not vroom vroom at redlights).

    Do we really need to go through the whole “modern zoning laws force people (in America) to buy cars just to survive because of the lack of public transportation infrastructure” bit?

      Well, you’re wrong.

      There is no zoning law that requires someone purchase a car that needs 93 octane.

      And a used Prius is great
