Ok so if you have a quest 3 and a battery bank you keep in your pocket you probably have gotten annoyed at the wire losing contact then reconnecting if it gets loose at all, then blasting your ears every time it happens. its awful. there was some guides on it awhile back but the quest updated and its a little outdated now so if you would like to turn off that sound heres a simple how-to:
1: Setup an adb connection to your device through the terminal (or sidequest)
2: get the newest release of this apk https://github.com/MuntashirAkon/SetEdit/releases
3: Youre going to run an adb command: adb install --bypass-low-target-sdk-block /path/to/SetEdit.apk within your terminal or from the top right menu in sidequest, in custom command. The path has to be specified to your apk location and name.
4: You will run another command: adb shell pm grant io.github.muntashirakon.setedit android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS from the terminal or from within sidequest.
5: now you can hop into your headset, go to unknown sources and open the app, then at the top left you have a dropdown menu for different tables. Secure table is the one that has the option for charging notifier sounds, change it to zero. Then its disabled, and the app allows you to set it to apply the setting each boot so its not tedious or anything either.
Its stupid that this isnt a base setting you can change on the quest it has a charging light it does not need to rupture your eardrums too… have fun
