GOP presidential candidate Ron DeSantis said his health care plan will replace ObamaCare if he is elected to the White House, promising that his full plan will be released in the spring.

NBCā€™s Kristen Welker pressed DeSantis, the Florida governor, on former President Trumpā€™s vow to repeal and replace ObamaCare ā€” a promise that he failed to keep during his time in the White House.

ā€œHereā€™s what I will do. What I think theyā€™re going to need to do is have a plan that will supersede ObamaCare, that will lower prices for people so that they can afford health care while also making sure that people will preexisting conditions are protected. And weā€™re going to look at the big institutions that are causing prices to be high: Big Pharma, big insurance, and big government,ā€ he said on ā€œMeet the Pressā€ on Sunday.

However, he offered scant details for his proposal when asked what ā€œsupersedeā€ meant. He said that his plan will have coverage that is ā€œdifferent and betterā€ at the ā€œlowest possible price.ā€

    FTA:

ā€œLook, nobody knows how much anything costs. Well, of course itā€™s not going to lower prices. Thereā€™s third-party payers.ā€

So if heā€™s eliminating 3rd party payersā€¦ it makes it SOUND like heā€™s backing single-payer, but I bet heā€™s just pushing it all onto the patient.
