I am for some reason up at 3 am so I made this, since I don’t think we have one of these set up yet. Will try and keep it updated/post after matches if people like it.

It’s kind of insane to see us at the top of the table despite having 4 points worse than this time last year. We really were flying high.

Also, we’ve played quite a few home matches to bottom half teams - hopefully that gave us the time to work some Havertz-shaped kinks out and continue the the title push.

Three points from City is so, so important. If we hadn’t beaten them we wouldn’t be top of the table. Obviously getting points are important but denying your rivals points is massive.

Also recall that we didn’t actually play City in the first half of last season, and when we did we promptly handed them three points.

Frankly I prefer our position now, having taken points from City already.

Honestly I think what’s more important is that other teams are doing better as well this season, the fact that 4 teams have > 2 PPG feels very competitive.

It’s an extremely competitive season, and it wouldn’t shock me if we have a league champion with under 90 points. Villa, City, and Liverpool have shown they can be beat with the right tactical set up. Also, Chelsea, Tottenham and Newcastle are strong teams but are currently going through some injury problems, and you still have United, Brighton and Brentford who can surprise you.

If City can stay healthy and avoid suspensions to key players they are the only team I see being able to really make a solid run late in the season, otherwise the league is up for grabs for a few teams so far.

Very welcome! I didn’t realize how much I looked forward to this after each match, as well as the obligatory “thank you very much” posts.

Actively taking suggestions on formatting, by the way, I’m not joking when I say it was 3 am and it’s not the prettiest to look at :D

Hide the regular spreadsheet lines like you did on the right side! And some borders for the headings, maybe some graphical elements like arrows could also help

Depends on how you go about it but as it fills it will be more and more difficult to track the line comparing last season to this season against the same team.
