funny. the ones i have from ukraine are literally doing this with the space between our houses. slowly inching a series of small engines, auto repair stuff, snowblowers, etc. would be fine if my bedroom and head was not directly on the other side of the wall.
i’d go tell them as nice as possible, then throw everything away and set up a camera….
then a fence in the spring.
but i’m sure you’ve given it more thought than me
Adverse possession takes at least 10 years in most places.
Acknowledging that they are using your property and not enforcing your boundaries eventually leads to them being able to claim that property as theirs.

hire a surveyor and a trash company while they’re at work, if you don’t defend your property eventually it legally stops being yours.
they know what they’re doing.
a fence is going up when the ground thaws. :)

iirc it takes 30 years in austria but i’m no laywer so i’m not sure
Maybe talk to them 🤔
lol. yes i have of course. changed nothing. this is of course not because of where they are from but a case of “assholes gonna asshole.”
Then why mention it in the first place?
It’s an analogy for Russia invading Ukraine and demanding their land in exchange for “peace”
Its called backpedaling. Mentioning Ukraine was very intentional.
Or it’s just an ironic anecdote. It IS kind of funny that a Ukrainian immigrant would steal land because of what’s happening in their home country
because the op image references russia and its relationship with its neighbor, ukraine.
