      and Beneath got the best ending - plain and simple fuck this shit conclusion. the movie was eh though. Have you read the original Rod Serling script? The one that was more high-tech and later toned down for budget reasons

          here it is https://pota.goatley.com/scripts/Planet of the Apes - Serling - First Draft Screenplay.pdf - the bones of the movie are already there but there are also many slightly different things here and there.
