The people in tech have been revealed to lack all humanity and should be widely reviled
Maybe it’s being sheltered in front of a computer for decades while already having began life with poor social skills and thus never developing a connection to humanity
Maybe it just attracts vile human scum like the church
It is the age old hubris of thinking everything works the way things work that you are an expert about work, dialed up to 11. In otherwords, AI and tech differ meaningfully from organized religion only in the comparative youth of their dogma.
I also believe the sense of control computers give is very unhealthy for a lot of low emotional intelligence people as it is an illusion, not everything is factorio, not everything needs to grow and extinguish, and not everything can be “growth hacked”. Computer people all too often lean into the blindspot that you don’t have to listen when using a computer like you do when having a real conversation with a human and it diminshes their humanity.
