I am thinking of switching to abstract sculpture on Nomad. There is less pressure to get proportions right. This was the second test sculpt. Took me about a half an hour. I created all the parts separately and then combined them together using the Boolean tool. Then I added rough muscles. I could have easily followed a reference showing where the muscles are. Let’s call this a surreal cat since it isn’t as realistic as I wanted it to be. The thing is I know the anatomy enough to know this is a really rough model. On to attempt number three.
Perfect medieval tiger.
It’s a pretty good stoat though
Maybe that fits.

SurrealMedievalLove it. Every piece builds up to greater things. Good luck and have fun with your next sculpt!
I like him.
What you’re doing is great! A lot of character comes through which is often what people have to work the hardest on. It’s great practice to follow through on completing works multiple times, and then improving incrementally after each one rather than getting individual elements absolutely perfect.
I know you already mentioned you didn’t check a reference but if you do in the future I find that referring to a skeleton will give a different perspective and help give you ideas of how things can and cannot move, but you might already have known that :)
Thank you.
What in samhell is a Puma?
