    Crazy that he was back in it, given that walked away way back in '05-'10 to pursue a Hollywood career. Shame, too, because “The End of Time” was a solid capstone to a rebirth of the franchise. His return (along with the return of Tenant and Piper) just felt like he was running the Greatest Hits. Nice to see Ncuti Gatwa get a hand on the batton, but distressing to see he had the fewest episodes outside Eccleston.

    Just feels like the BBC is giving up on the show like it’s given up on so much else.
