I’m stupid. I always forget that that’s the point of layoffs. My brain always imagines a lesser workload leading to layoffs. Despite me having exeprienced this once myself. I left that place soon after. And adding insult to injury they did this after Covid (yes, we had to work through it and not from home), telling us that the good times are over now.
It’s so fun to pick up the slack for workloads left from mass layoffs - come on guys.
