Opinion: Both The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal recently ran opinion pieces essentially preaching “gay is respectable, queer is the problem.” It’s not helpful, writes Josh Ackley.

The opinion published by the NYT mention the intolerance from religious communities. And references the author’s involvement in the Reformation Project, which is a christian group that aims to be inclusive of gay, bi, trans people.

It seems like they’re trying to make LGBT people more chrurch-friendly by silencing queerness. Rather than making the church more queer friendly.

Its terf arguments without saying it out loud. And they want to do it with each letter as they all get peeled away. Trans and enbys are the easy ones cause the straights think theyre icky and confusing. Then the bisexuality cause sigh they just need to make up their minds, amiright? The gays go next cause lesbians are hot, but two men kissing makes me feel a certain kind if way that i am not ready to deal with. Finally the lesbians are thrown into the kitchen because by then the christofascists have taken over, and a handmaids tale won’t be fiction any more.

It seems like they’re trying to make LGBT people more chrurch-friendly by trying to scrub queerness. Rather than making the church more queer friendly.
