People severely underestimate how powerful story telling can be in business. A pitch deck with the right speaker can get you millions and millions of dollars, or someone like Elon Musk can tell stories about fully self-driving cars or living on Mars or building data centers in space and people are willing to invest without doing any due diligence whatsoever. Remember, past performance is not an indication of future gains.

The board has no power, and neither do shareholders. One of many reasons to steer clear of the stock as well as the NASDAQ 100 fund.
