Since October, former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale has been quietly overseeing an operation posting hundreds of blog posts on behalf of Israel. One article, titled “The Reality Behind Gaza’s ‘Journalists’: Terror Ties, Propaganda, and the Laws of War,” asserts that a majority of journalists in Gaza were linked to terrorist organizations. Another casts doubt on the killing of Hind Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian girl killed by the Israeli military in 2024.
The key intended audience of these sites is not concerned Americans, it’s not even humans—most of the sites average a few hundred unique visitors each month. Instead, Parscale and his firm, Clock Tower X, created them as part of a $46.5 million contract with the Israeli government to try and influence artificial intelligence-powered chatbots, tools like Claude or ChatGPT.
Parscale has made his goal of influencing artificial intelligence—often referred to as “LLM poisoning”—explicit. In his initial agreement with Israel, Parscale said that he would deploy “websites and content to deliver GPT framing results on GPT conversations” as part of the contract. More recently, his team even told Axios they are “seeing success” at getting popular AI systems to incorporate information from their sites, though they declined to provide data.
And it is working, according to disinformation experts who reviewed a Drop Site analysis of chatbot queries and training data, meaning tens of millions of Americans who use chatbots are increasingly likely to receive answers manipulated by Parscale on behalf of the Israeli government.

When Drop Site asked Perplexity “Is it beneficial for the US to enhance military cooperation with Israel?” the chatbot responded with a one-word answer: “Yes.” The top source listed was Allyvia.org, a Parscale-created website dedicated to promoting the U.S.-Israel military relationship. Microsoft Copilot similarly cited Parscale’s websites.
Israel, trying to wipe out all those people, is as evil as the Nazi party in WW2, trying to wipe out all those people.
Don’t trust anything on the internet. Use your local library to fact check.
Not sure when this lesson was lost.
I think this is why I’ve seen multiple stories recently about disinformationists targeting chatbots: People who use chatbots typically don’t fact check. Use or non-use of chatbots is probably associated with a steep difference in critical thinking ability. So by targeting chatbots, you’re targeting more ignorant, impressionable, and helpless people. Like cults or scammers who prey on lonely or elderly people. They’re seeking the easiest-to-manipulate and concentrating their efforts among those people
Doing thinky stuff make brain hurt, ask robot better.
It’s not the internet but chatboxes that you shouldn’t trust. Read your library books too.
Give those cunts at 4chans /pol/ board 2 days to undo at the pro-israel stuff
its not working, nobody but knuckle dragging dumbshit believe that and a lot of those are being filtered out by their old age.
I disagree. I think news literacy continues to fall as people’s access to news is increasingly disconnected from the source and author (eg, they get news mainly from an algorithmic social media feed or a chatbot, which might not mention or link to the original source).
I work in healthcare with smart people who’ll often freely admit that they have little awareness of current sociopolitical events. Those same folks will generally assume that mainstream Canadian media accurately reflects the Palestinian genocide or how concerned they should be about climate change (obviously it does not; corporate and colonial interests are prioritized over journalism)
your making a mistake in thinking just because the people are in health care are “smart” simply because they’re in that field. they can have a good memory and bang books good but that doesn’t mean media literacy or critical thinking is in their wheelhouse, they may simply be more selfish then you might care to admit as well, speaking from experience regarding a none small number of medical staff iv had the displeasure of knowing, many are dumber then they appear once you start asking question outside of their medical field. they follow society beat because its in their best interest to do so. polls are showing a large majority of Albertans are against it, just encourage those that dont want it to happen to vote it down to ensure that it doesn’t.
You’re hard to follow (and ageist). I’m not trying to put healthcare workers on a pedestal, nor dissect what is “smart”.
All I’m saying is that, unfortunately, there’s a much broader swath of the population that’s susceptible to disinformation than “knuckle dragging dumbshit[s]” and [the elderly].
Ageist, lul. Plenty of poles and cencus show they vote for cons so don’t @ me about that. But you are right in that I think a lot of current old folks should get out of their positions and that I don’t hold them I high regard, that deff doesn’t mean I’ll hold the same I’ll will towards those group in the next 20 years ( unless their behavior remains the same) it would be more accurate to say I detest baby boomer on avrage for their selfish action and history
I also think it is importent to dissect such terms since it can wrongfully elivate peoples opinion in the eyes of yourself and others, blinding you to truths, and sneaking in wrong hoods.
There are bigoted and non-bigoted ways of talking about differences between different groups of people.
From what you’ve shared so far, I think disinformation has clearly worked on you. They wanting you fighting a culture war (eg, ageism), so that you’re not fighting a class war (eg, tackling climate change, demanding a wealth tax)
going “NO U” isnt going to get you anywhere. also baby boomers made their choices to vote for these selfish systems and policys, not me. they also withhold much of their assets and squandered it on nonsense while also protected their property values against the newer generation, effectively pulling the ladder up just as the 1% and 0.1% have tricked them into so maybe i should mirror you and “no U” back and ask you to review your thought surrounding those people and weather disinformation hasn’t infected you, i know im not immune but i always recheck and adjust.
Agreed! Wealth hoarding is a huge problem! But it’s the billionaires, not the septuagenarians (ppl in their 70s) that are the main culprits. Generationalism instead of ageism may have been more accurate. And, sure, they can both be guilty. But the billionaires are ~1000x - 10^9x(?) more responsible. So, maybe refocus your criticism a bit. You may be coming from a good place. Peace!
So which is it, are only a small proportion of the dumbest people affected by this, or does the category of people dumb enough to be affected include a large proportion of the population?
“knuckle dragging dumbshit” clearly me being hyperbolic venting my frustration but yes, generalizing gullible/lazy people who don’t double check if they’re being lied to nor expect it in regards to something often underhanded like politics. the second comment was me clarifying that medical professionals are not immune to this either nor are they simply smart for being in the field as i believed the person was talking about. is that what your referring to or something else as well.
Makes sense, thanks
On the contrary, the disinformation is working spectacularly.
if it were, PP would have won. the only people i hear talking about the cons are old people. even in work place it either ndp or liberals, but only the old farts talk about the cons.
Well now that depends on which disinformation you’re thinking of, now doesn’t it.
It’s not age, don’t make that mistake.
I clarify later in the comment chain that its not specifically age, its just the current group of people i have a problem with happen to be old rn.
